If you like golden rum, you'll love Golden Canadiana.
Golden Canadiana is a rare and innovative way to use maple syrup.
While most maple alcohol products simply add maple syrup to a spirit like rum, whisky or vodka resulting in a liqueur/liquor with a maple syrup flavour; we make a spirit by fermenting and distilling maple syrup.
The distillation produces a spirit most similar to rum, but with a natural spicy flavour. Canadiana is completely its own style and flavour, unique to itself.
Our process for making a spirit from maple sugar/syrup is extremely unique and results in a spirit that doesn’t taste like the traditional maple syrup flavours we’d think of when we think about maple.
If you strip away the sweet concentrated sugars from maple syrup, you will find spicier, earthy woody notes at its core. If you love barrel aged spirits, this is a must try.
Tasting notes: On the nose, sweeter oak profiles of butterscotch and vanilla. On the palate, heat, toasted oak, butterscotch, cinnamon with light hints of vanilla, nutmeg and maple sugar. There are light lingering earthy backgrounds of cinnamon and something reminiscent of the maple sugars the spirit is derived from. Long finish, slightly bitter.

The product does not taste of sweet maple syrup and it is not a liqueur or a rum.
