Batch#4
Our flagship, single grain Canadian Rye Whisky, made with local organic rye and barley grains. Fermented, distilled, and aged in virgin American white oak barrels in Carleton County of New Brunswick.
A mixed grain mash distillate that is aged a minimum of 3 years in our charred and toasted American oak barrels. Once the whisky is mature enough, we blend the barrels together in small batches with our best efforts to maintain a consistent flavour. Currently, we produce about 1200 bottles on average per batch.
The stunning label on this bottle proudly depicts the famous longest covered bridge in our hometown of Hartland.
Canadian Whisky Awards winner of a gold medal and Best Mixed Grain Mash Whisky Of The Year 2023.
Colour- Deep Copper
Tasting notes (without ice or water):
The nose has a pear, green banana and floral aroma, oak shavings, leather, hazelnut with a light bourbon vanilla, and Manuka honey. The mouth feel is a bit dry and hot but very smooth and enjoyable with a little tannic bitterness from the virgin oak. On the palate we have sweetness that turns to warm spices fading quickly over the tongue. Coconut, vanilla, green banana, walnut skin, honey and black pepper. It has a comfortably warm, long, dry finish of clove, black pepper and toffee but fades into a lingering mild mint and coconut flavour
This whisky's flavour really opens up on the nose and palate when enjoyed over a couple of ice cubes. It is a light easy sip. Cheers!
No added colour or flavour. Single mash distillate of 80% Organic Rye and 20% Organic Barley. Lightly filtered (1 degree celsius). Blended down with organic maple tree water (flavourless, sugarless distilled water)
