Aged over one year in virgin oak barrels and sold at 57% alcohol, some would refer to this as “navy strength”. The colour of this rum is natural, coming from the select oak barrels we use. No caramel colouring or sugars are added to this rum. Perfect for rum enthusiasts or whisky drinkers looking for something new to try. Perfect for high proof exotic cocktails and on-the-rocks sippers alike.
The product concept and label were designed by Moncton artist Andrew Macpherson, also known as Ghandy.
Tasting notes: Oaky, heat from high proof on the nose. On the pallet, notes of vanilla, caramel and subtle hints of brown sugar, clove and spice. Finish feels short and dry with caramel, oak flavors and a clove like spiciness. It has a lot of heat at 57%, but mellows out and opens up over ice.
